Organic doesn’t greenwash

“Organic” is not just a label — it’s a certified designation for products of ecological agriculture, backed by strict standards and controls. No producer — whether a farmer or food manufacturer — is allowed to use the organic label without proper authorization. To obtain it, they must register with an official control body and undergo regular inspections, including testing of both raw materials and final products.

Each control body has its own code, and you'll find this number printed beneath the green-leaf EU organic logo. Fluidum is certified and regularly re-certified by ABCERT, a control body authorized by the Czech Ministry of Agriculture. Our certification code is CZ-BIO-002. You’ll find this code not only on our packaging but also on invoices, our website, and all relevant materials. Organic products made in the Czech Republic also carry the national “organic zebra” logo.

In the case of food producers, certification is renewed annually through a scheduled inspection. However, it’s not unusual for additional unannounced inspections to happen at any time throughout the year. These are carried out by inspectors from across the country, and no single inspector is allowed to visit the same company more than twice.

During the inspection, the entire operation is reviewed in detail. The inspector examines the layout of the facility, checks every production and storage area — essentially anywhere a mistake could occur. They verify all purchase and sales documentation, including the validity of supplier certifications. Based on production records, a random batch of products is selected for traceability verification. For us, that means a full audit of the process from sourcing ingredients, through manufacturing and packaging, all the way to shipping and retail or wholesale sales. Every step must align — there’s no room for discrepancies.

For growers, the controls are even stricter, with close attention paid to fertilizers, sprays, soil quality, and other inputs.

It’s important to say that “organic” doesn’t automatically mean healthier or higher quality — but in practice, it often leads to that. When you remove contaminated soil, chemical pesticides, artificial preservatives, added flavors, colors, and questionable additives from the equation, what’s left is a cleaner version of food.

For us at Fluidum, choosing organic was a conscious decision. Thanks to the built-in control mechanisms and clear labeling rules, we can be confident that we’re not being misled as buyers — and neither are our customers. In our view, this is one of the best and most reliable ways to support a healthy lifestyle — and a more satisfied life.
